The chancellery of Winterthur is enhancing its document and communication processes by implementing primedocs - a template management software suite by PrimeSoft.

As a staff office of Winterthur’s City Council, the chancellery provides services both to the municipal administration and to the public. Therefore, the public organization produces a wide range of documents – from formal correspondence with external recipients to internal reports and protocols.

Given the high volume of documents, the chancellery was looking for a solution to make working in Microsoft applications more efficient, to support legally compliant content creation and to ensure a consistent municipal corporate design.

primedocs supports document creation directly within the familiar Microsoft applications. Winterthur’s city chancellery uses primedocs modules in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel to centrally provide standardized templates, authorized text modules, consistent email signatures and authoritative layout specifications. It enables employees to create documents more quickly while ensuring that content and appearance automatically comply with applicable guidelines.

Another key focus is correct content creation: centrally managed and approved text modules ensure that relevant wording is used consistently and correctly.

In addition, the chancellery is integrating a GEVER system interface to embed document processes into the city’s existing IT infrastructure and enable end-to-end, frictionless workflows.
